Toni Ann Capanelli
Hello, my name is Toni Ann Capanelli. I moved to Florida from NYC a few years ago.
I am a mother of beautiful 12 year old twins.
Sometimes situations arise that test and define who we really are. One year on vacation, I was walking alongside the hotel pool when I witnessed a small child struggling under the water. In an instant, I jumped in and grabbed the child out of the water. I can’t describe how frantic the child’s mother was as she took the 20 month old from my arms. There was roughly fifty people occupying the hotel pool that day and yet that baby went unnoticed. Her child was crying and coughing but otherwise out of danger. I felt a sense of pride and accomplishment that day when I helped save a child's life and made a difference to a family that I will never see again.
From that moment, I realized how important water safety is to our children.
When my twins were born I couldn’t help but to reflect back on that day. I never wanted to experience the horror of that day again for my babies. I researched and found that there are numerous programs that demonstrate the importance of water safety.
I found ISR to be the leader in innovation and success in teaching children survival skills. Both of my babies have completed the ISR program and I will always be thankful for the peace of mind that they would be safe in an aquatic emergency from the skills they learned from ISR.
That defining moment over three years ago coupled with the witnessing of my own twins success with ISR has propelled me to dedicate myself to the program. To be part of the ISR's mission "Not One More Child Drowns".
I am very proud to say that I am a certified ISR Instructor in the quest in preventing another child drowning. One will never know if we are the reason that an accident never happens.
ISR has 790 documented cases of children using ISR’s survival swimming techniques to save themselves from drowning. I am confident that if you take the time to research ISR you will never want to enroll your children in any other program. You will see for yourself how ISR can teach your child to be safe in the water.
Thank you,
Toni Ann Capanelli , Certified Infant Swimming Resource Instructor
